To search for a printed book in Perseo, enter a term in the box and select "Catalog" from any of the drop-down menus. Then, click on the magnifying glass to run the search.

Once the results have been retrieved, you must apply the "Books" and "Held by Library" filters on the left side of the screen.

Click on the title you are interested in to see the complete record. To locate the book on the library shelf, you need to know its call number: it is in "Get it → Location items". Also, check that the book appears as available for loan.

To search for printed books in the advanced search, select the "Catalog" option, and in the filters on the right, in type of material, choose "Books". You can limit the search with the filters title, author, subject, ISBN, language and year. Once you have established the criteria to refine the results, click "Search".

To locate the book on the library shelf, you need to take note of the call number. This can be seen in the "Get it → Location items" section; check that the book appears as available.

To find e-books in the simple search, select the "Electronic resources" option and click on the magnifying glass after entering the search term in the box:

You will get a list of results, in which you can apply the "Book" filter on the left side of the screen, to eliminate those results that are not books (electronic journals, chapters, articles, etc.):

Click on the title or on to see the full record of the book. In the "View online - Full text availability" section is the link to the publisher or e-book platform that contains that book:

Take into account that if it is an e-book that requires a subscription, to read the full text you will need to do so from a computer connected to the Universidade de Vigo network (wifi or eduroam) or you will have to identify yourself as a member of the Universidade de Vigo, if you access from outside.
When you want to locate electronic books, mark "Electronic resources" and "Books" in the search criteria. You can refine the search with the filters title, author, subject, ISBN, language and year. Once the criteria have been established, click on "Search".
