Perseo, the library search engine

Perseo is a tool that allows you to search all the resources of the Universidade de Vigo library using a simple or advanced search.

The simple search is done by writing one or more terms about which you want to find information in the main box: words from the title, author, or keywords. If you want to search compound terms, write them in quotes. Select where you would like to perform the search (all, catalogue, electronic resources or course reserves) and click on the magnifying glass:

• All: searches the entire catalogue, the Investigo repository and the databases and information systems subscribed to by the library.
• Catalogue: physical and electronic documents from the catalogue of the Universidade de Vigo Library.
• Electronic resources: retrieves only documents in electronic format from both the catalogue and the electronic resources subscribed to by the library, the Central Index and the Investigo institutional repository.
• Course reserves: limits the search to the documents collected in the teaching guides of the different subjects taught at the Universidade de Vigo.

Advanced search allows you to select search fields and combine them: title and author, title and subject, etc. It also allows you to define filters before launching the search: material type, date and language.
