Visualize results

The results page provides brief information with title, authorship, year of publication, resource type and availability. In addition, the following features are displayed:

  • Quote icon  to create a citation (allows you to generate a reference in several predefined styles).
  • Envelope icon  to send the record by email.
  • Pin icon to mark/unmark the record in favourites and work with it later.
  • If you click on the three dots other features appear that we will explain in the complete record.

It is also indicated when the works are part of the course reserve of a subject and whether a publication is open access or peer-reviewed (a scientific publication that has passed a previous review process by specialists):

 
If the resource is electronic and we have access to the full text  will appear.
In this case, if the electronic resource is a subscription resource and you access it from outside the Universidade de Vigo, you will have to identify yourself as a member of the university community. 

In some documents (generally articles from peer-reviewed journals), you can retrieve the associated citations using the arrow icons.

 
By clicking on the arrows, you will see the references of the documents that cite it (“Find resources citing this”) and the references cited in the document (“Find resources cited in this”):

  

Clicking on the title provides access to the complete information, which offers:

  • Document information: title, authorship, year of publication, availability, etc.
  • Send to: with options to export to RefWorks and EndNote bibliographic managers, export in BibTeX and RIS formats, create a citation, generate a permanent link or send by email.
  • View Online → Full text availability (in the case of electronic resources): you can see all the resources that provide access to the full text of the document, and other data of interest. If the electronic resource is a subscription and you access it from outside the Universidade de Vigo, you will have to identify yourself as a member of the university community.
  • Get it → Locations: allows you to physically locate the document in the library. Within each location, it indicates the copies that each library has, the availability of the document and the loan period.
  • Course reserves: when the book we are viewing is recommended in the syllabus for a subject, here you can see for which subjects it is recommended and other recommended books in the same subjects.
  • On the same shelf: allows you to examine other books located on the same shelf. If the books is avaliable in more than one library, the books displayed are those located onthe same shelf in the first library.
  • More information: shows the complete bibliographic record of the document and other links.
